We recently had a chance to meet up with the guys from Nighthawk Custom, and talked with them about their high end 1911 pistols as we toured their facilities in northwestern Arkansas.

Seeing how Nighthawk Custom undertakes the task of building such a diverse product line of high end products was a treat, something I'm glad we have the opportunity to share. We talked about how using a forging instead of using casting tends to wear out cutting tools faster, but that results in a better finished product, which demands a higher price. Carving a receiver from a forged part demands skilled craftsmen and accurate tools.

Tromix Saiga shotgun customization transforms an ordinary hunting shotgun into a dynamic tactical tool.

The Basic Fixed stock conversion consists of the following:
- SAW pistol grip installed
- Rear of receiver re-machined to the correct angle.
- Receiver back-plate Tig welded in place.
- Safety selector stop welded in place.
- Tromix trigger guard welded in place.
- Left over trigger axis pins welded up.
- U.S. fire control components installed.
- Gas block aligned as-required.
- Install Fixed Tromix or Ace stock.
- Mod magwell for 8/10rd magazines.

In the early 1990's Boje Cornils was hired on to improve the design and set up the tooling to produce the AA-12

188 Changes & Improvements

We had the opportunity to meet and interview Jerry and Boje to get first hand information on the development and operation of this unique and popular automatic shotgun

Slowly, more of the AA-12 are being made, but because newly built machine guns are not transferable to most of us according to the Hughes Amendment of the 1986 Gun Owners Protection act, and only government and police agencies can buy these, the market is not very large, and most sales are exports to other governments

A semi-automatic version of the AA-12 would undoubtedly be considered "non-sporting" by the ATF and therefore regulated as a "Title II" Destructive Device with extra paperwork and a tax stamp

.22 Ammo Storage ??

Any ideas on how to store this .22 ammo so I can easily bring an assortment to the shooting range?

I'm looking for a way to organize all this .22 ammo .. any ideas??

I normally store it in a box, but the problem with that is the stuff I am looking for is always at the bottom, of course..lol

So, I'm thinking maybe a toolbox with those small compartments at the top?
